My love story began as most do, unexpectedly! Travis and I were great friends that had a great time talking and were both naturally flirtatious, but we were just friends for about 6 months. Two days after we started dating the picture below was taken.

As you can see, it’s in really rough shape, because my basement flooded and it was ruined. I was heartbroken to lose such a precious picture until I remembered a post my Mom had written, so I searched her blog and found this post! My Mom had an old faded photo that Miles at 399retouch had beautifully restored. I quickly sent off my picture and prayed he’d be able to restore it. I can’t begin to explain the joy I had when I opened up my email to see it restored so beautifully.

This picture represents a time when Travis and I were full of dreams! 5 months later we were engaged and 4 months after that we were married. We fell in love and dreamed of what our life would be and we knew our love for each other and God could help us through anything. Most of our dreams haven’t been possible, but our love for each other is so much more than I ever imagined possible and along with our love and commitment to God we have been able to face our trials together. I adore Travis and I am so grateful for every day he fights. Our continued love and adoration for each other helps us fight cancer one day at a time.
